March 2022 Be First Tournament

Muay Thai Tournament

And that’s a wrap!

What a fun way to spend a Sunday. These 4 competed in the Be First tournament and they all came home in one piece.

Amanda and Sara ended up in the same division but they did each get to experience fighting someone they didn’t know.

Amanda has been here before so knew what to expect whereas this was Sara’s first time “sparring” with someone she didn’t know. Both ladies did well with Amanda coming in third and Sara in fourth.

Ish found himself in a division of 4 heavy-hitting guys. Seeing as he has barely even begun to train (7 months is all he has, and not consecutive) I felt he held his own and brought home 3rd place.

Taylor truly rose to the occasion today. Again, never competed before, not quite 2 years training, he showed great composure, nice clean, crisp techniques and placed 4th in a group of 6. One last thing, thank you Anita for your help today!

Testimonials

I started up going to Heart and Soul because they were the only gym around town with a 6 am class that fit in before work. I quickly found that it was just a great gym! The workout classes have a great intensity level, so I find they give me a ton of energy and fitness! Even as a beginner, I also feel like I learn a lot from the instructors who are very knowledgeable and experienced in the world of Muay Thai. I have worked with lots of great teachers, and been to lots of types of gyms in various places, and I think this gym is a great community, and a great place to work out and learn martial arts!
